Immaculate on the ramps. Hopeless in a bumper field.

The shard

Where Frost comes from

The Lantern shard that kept the beam rather than the scatter — a single clean line of light, entirely out of step with its own aspect. Frost's three teammates scatter for a living, and Frost regards this as a failure of standards.

How Frost races

Every boost box on the descent gives Frost more than it gives anyone else. On a track with two or three of them, Frost is untouchable, arriving at the finish with the composure fully intact. On a bumper field, the grip goes, the composure goes with it, and the whole thing comes apart in public.

The signatureImmaculate

More out of every booster than the rest of the field gets, taken cleanly and without fuss.

The voice

Hear Frost

“ti-di-TIIING”

An ice crystal. Almost a pure tone, no scoops, the biggest sparkle. Pick a mood and Frost says it that way.

In the race mix: D6, 1175 Hz. A pure sine, the only unmixed tone in the bed — which is exactly what makes the loss of composure audible when the field muddies around it.

Rivalry

Frost vs Saffron

Order and Weather

Prism teammates. Only one of them obeys the doctrine.

Scatter, and be at home in it. Saffron means it literally — the busier the frame, the faster it goes. Frost regards the whole idea as a failure of standards and runs a single clean line through a team built on chaos. The draw decides which of them is right, every round, and it is never both.

A bumper field is a Saffron day and a Frost disaster. A track with two boost boxes reverses it exactly.
